The 2006 Lincoln Mercury Mariner Hybrid, in it's first model year, will have a limited production run. The electric/gasoline engine Hybrid Vehicle market is expected to double in size from 2004 to 2005, and continue to grow significantly over the next several years.

Earthwell's primary reason for beginning the process of converting it's fleet to hybrids is for the improved fuel efficiency and lower emissions, however, President, Johnny Miller, quickly adds "that by adding the hybrids to it's corporate fleet was a way to demonstrate that Earthwell translates it's values into action".
