Louisville, KY Earthwell Energy Management announced it was selected by the US Army Corps of Engineers Construction Engineering Research Laboratory (CERL) to supply a pre-commercial PEM fuel cell CHP system.

The award calls for the installation, operation, maintenance and monitoring of Nuvera's AvantiTM system over a period of one year. The AvantiTM utilizes natural gas and an integrated fuel converter to provide hydrogen fuel for the fuel cell. The system, slated for delivery later this year, will be integrated into building electrical and heating systems and operate in parallel with the electric grid.
